House music is growing on me more and more every day. I used to think house music was only for late nights, concerts, or clubs. I thought it was too much energy for normal moments. I didn’t really pay attention to it when friends would play it. It just felt like something I would never really get into. Recently, that changed. Now house music is something I put on almost any time, even when I am doing normal things like driving to school, grabbing food, or heading to practice.
I like a lot of different types of music, so it surprised me a little that house music caught my attention. There was no certain thing that changed everything. It just slowly started happening when I was at camp over the summer. Many counselors would play it and it just boosted energy. At some point I realized that certain songs with good vocals and smooth beats gave me energy and helped brighten my mood. The style just clicked. It did not matter if it was daytime or night. The feeling was always the same. House music makes a slow day feel better.
One thing I enjoy is that house music has great vibes without being too crazy or distracting. The instruments usually stay smooth and upbeat. The vocals are also a big part of why I like it. They make the songs feel more real and fun to sign along with. The build ups and drops give the music energy, but not in a way that feels overwhelming. It is the perfect mix where I can vibe to without getting tired of it.
House music also puts me in a better mindset. If I am tired, it wakes me up a little. If I am stressed, it helps me relax and think about something else. Even just driving around feels more exciting when I have a good house playlist on. It can make a regular morning or afternoon feel better, almost like everything has a better rhythm to it.
My friends still do not always like it when I play house music at a group hangout. They usually want rap or pop because that is what most people know. I still like those genres too, but house music feels more like something I listen to because I want to, not because everyone else does. It has become my own thing that I enjoy no matter what others think.
The more I listen to house music, the more it becomes part of my everyday life. It has a cool beat, good energy, and strong vocals that make it fun to listen to almost anywhere. I never thought I would enjoy it this much, but now it is one of the first thing I play when I connect to a speaker or get into the car. House music keeps growing on me, and I don’t think that is going to change anytime soon.
