Charli xcx’s bestselling album, brat, or some of her most popular songs like party 4 u, Guess, and Boom Clap, transformed her from being relatively unknown to a popular pop artist. Charli xcx makes hyper/electro pop music.
She is now coming out with a new album titled Wuthering Heights, a soundtrack for the new movie which was released on February 13.
Wuthering Heights is based off of a book by Emily Brontë published in 1847, about two people who are soulmates but the woman then marries a different man when they get older. It is a Gothic romance novel that was written in the Victorian era. It is a multigenerational book, meaning that the book goes on to their children after the woman, Catherine, dies, and the book continues for 18 years in the plot line.
After seeing the trailer, the movie seems like something I would enjoy. It is a dark romance and a tragedy, and also described as a psychological horror or drama.
Over thirty different movie adaptations of Wuthering Heights have been made, but the newest one being released includes the main characters being Critics Choice Awards winners Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.
Robbie has starred in many films, and is most known for her work on the Barbie movie, and Harley Quinn. I have watched the Barbie movie multiple times, and Margot Robbie turned a role as a toy into an important message in a comedic way.
Elordi is most known for his character in Euphoria, The Kissing Booth, and Saltburn. I especially liked The Kissing Booth with Joey King because it has a very similar plot line to The Summer I Turned Pretty. Elordi was a good fit for the role of Noah Flynn, one of the brothers.
On the movie’s soundtrack, there are 12 songs. The most popular is the trending song on Tiktok, called House, featuring John Cale.
It is a very suspenseful and eerie song, with an etching violin and harsh drums in the background, and John Cale narrating the background poem.
