It is a rom-com, about a girl named Poppy and a boy named Alex. They have been friends since meeting in college. Poppy is the type of girl who is very outgoing but Alex is the type of person who would rather stay at home and read instead of going out. Their relationship is one of the many reasons why this movie is so captivating, leaving the audience wanting to see their new adventures together.
Once they met, they bonded in a long car ride about how they are both from the same small town in Ohio. They made a pact that every summer they would travel together to a new place. After college, Poppy moves to New York City and Alex moves back to Ohio to their hometown. They still keep their tradition going after college for ten years.
After their last trip together, an event happened that changed their relationship. They did not talk to each other for two years after that, only on special occasions like birthdays.
Eventually, Poppy misses Alex so much, so she asks to go on another trip together, with them remembering how close their bond used to be.
In the newly released movie, Poppy is played by Emily Bader, who has acted in 13 films. She is most known for People We Meet On Vacation, My Lady Jane, and Fresh Kills.
Alex is played by Tom Blyth, and he has acted in 11 films. He is most known for his roles in People We Meet On Vacation, The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes, and Billy The Kid. He won the British Riding Star award in 2023 and the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury award for ensemble in 2025.
