The NFL Draft will be starting up on April 23 and ending on April 25. This is a perfect time for casual fans to research college players that will potentially end up on their favorite team. These under the radar players have a great chance to earn a potential roster spot in the NFL and accomplish their life long dream. Every year there are players that drop in the rankings and get severely underrated by the NFL. Here’s a list of players that will make teams pay for passing up on them:
- Antonio Williams was supposed to be one of the top receivers in this year’s draft heading into the 2025 college football season. Now, the Clemson graduate may not be what many thought he was going to be, but Williams can absolutely be a good slot receiver in the NFL. Williams has good hands and has a large route tree that can make him quarterback friendly. Williams had a good combine that should help him rise up draft boards. One downside is that he’s not great at breaking tackles, but he has solid size and good athleticism that will help him stay in the league for a long time.
- LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier had a very rough final season for the Tigers in Baton Rouge, but he has lots of experience as he played five years for LSU. He had a very good fourth season, which made many people think he could be the best quarterback in this year’s draft, but Nussmeier is not very athletic and can be prone to turnovers. LSU was projected to be a national championship contender, but Nussmeier was going to have to lead them. Safe to say he did not do that, but that doesn’t mean Nussmeier can’t lead an NFL team to a potential playoff appearance. However, if he can repeat what he did his junior year, he’ll be able to stick around in the NFL.

Per ESPN The running back that people will see everywhere on draft boards will be Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. However, I’m here to talk about a different Notre Dame running back, Jadarian Price. Price was splitting carries with Love for the last two years. Yes, Love stole the show, but Price has great vision and is a good pass catcher. His top end speed is solid, running a 4.49 at the combine. Price’s issue is that he isn’t a great third down back and has fumbling issues. He’s projected to be a second round pick, but don’t be shocked if someone picks him in the first.
- This year’s draft is seen as loaded with defensive ends. One of those ends is Illinois’ Gaberiel Jacas. Jacas is going to be an absolute game wrecker after a few years to develop in the NFL. He has great size and has the ability to be a solid rotational pass rusher in his first year. Jacas will most likely go in day 2 (2nd and 3rd round), but could absolutely get drafted in the late first round. Jacas will need to work on his run defense, but he has all of the traits to be one of the best defensive ends in football.

- There are lots of good wide receivers coming out this year, like Makai Lemon, Cardell Tate, and Jordan Tyson. However, the wide receiver to look out for is KC Concepcion out of Texas A&M. Now, Concepcion will be a first round receiver regardless of when he hears his name called, but he should be the second receiver off the board behind Lemon. Concepcion has great speed and an illustrious route tree. He can also go up and catch a pass that’s contested. Don’t listen to the critics who question his hands because Concepcion is going to be giving General Managers nightmares about passing up on him.
The NFL Draft is every player’s dream and these players have put themselves in a great position to hear their name be called on Draft Day.
