Masco girls’ soccer had an electrifying 6-0 win over Salem this past Wednesday on Senior Night.
The Chieftains dominated this game throughout all 80 minutes. Right from the jump, Masco’s star senior captain Amanda Schneider belted in two goals in the first two minutes of play. Schneider has been unstoppable all season and looks to be a top player in the Northeast Conference.
Senior captain Nicole Schneider was responsible for the next Masco goal two minutes after her sister, putting Masco up 3-0 and setting the tone for how this game would go.
Masco was comfortably in control on both sides of the ball. The defense from seniors Riley Bovardi, Mia Sorpol, and Teagan Skulley completely locked up anything Salem tried to get going on offense.
Skulley and Sorpol added nice goals of their own, sneaking it past the Salem keeper.
Seniors Taylor Blanchette and Ava Allen were fantastic in the mid-field and Allen punched in a goal of her own in the second half.
Masco goalkeeper sophomore Evy Mills was outstanding in goal in not only this game but all season, only allowing in three goals through five games.
Masco takes on Bishop Feehan away tomorrow and looks to continue to be a top team in the state.
