The Chieftains ground out a win against the Swampscott Big Blue. This crucial win for the Chieftains helped boost their chance to clinch a spot in the playoffs. It wasn’t necessarily pretty, but when it mattered most, Masco took the lead with a late fourth quarter comeback and had some clutch stops on defense down the stretch. With the game on the line, they sent junior Devin O’Brien and sophomore Cal Weidman to the free throw line, where they knocked down both shots, icing the game for the Chieftains. O’Brien came ready to play, logging 22 points for the night, being Masco’s high scorer and helping them come out victorious.
